Monday Blues

Wellsy what happened to you?
The Sox dropped last night's contest to the division leading Orioles and the Bad Guys gained a half of a game on us. Man this sucks. Not only did we drop in the division and lose some of our lead over the Yanks, but the Celts dropped a nailbiter at home.
Wells gave up six runs and didn't make it out of the fourth. Meanwhile, surging Bruce Chen was just short of outstanding. Ortiz had three hits and V-Tek homered, but Manny was hitless and all of David's shots were mostly meaningless.
Look at how much Wells has aged for this season. Other than that one gem against Baltimore, he's been pretty bad for us. At this point you'd have to think that he's the one who sits once Wade comes back. Of course, Sox managment would never let that happen now that we have him for two years, but don't you want your best team on the field to play any given game? And at this point who can tell me that they'd rather have Wells in the rotation than Bronson "no more cornrolls" Arroyo? Let's get this kid pitching and get rid of bad news.
By the way, doesn't it seem like we always get the Yankees at the decline in their career (Wells, Cone, Mendoza), while the Yanks get our players who still can rock it (Boggs, Clemens). I'm just saying.
The Yanks had the day off and face Anaheim today. Its Bartolo Colon vs. Pavano and this should be a good matchup. Today the Sox face the Angel's presumed ace, Lopez, with Matt Clement. This should be a W for us and the Yanks, but anything can happen.
